Job Summary:

Advantmed is seeking future Seasonal HEDIS Abstractors for the upcoming 2020 HEDIS season. As a HEDIS Review/Abstractor, you will be working remotely from your home office where there is high speed internet access available. Schedules can be somewhat flexible as long as a schedule is provided well in advance for each week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure to catch correct and relevant evidence for the measures required for Quality Review purposes from different types of medical records.
  • Have thorough knowledge and understanding about different types of medical record (handwritten, EMR, hybrid) and HEDIS processes.
  • Enter HEDIS evidence in an online program.
  • Ensure HEDIS evidence are accurate and in accordance with HEDIS 2020 Tech-Specs, NCQA, and Advantmed Training.
  • Managing detailed medical records, including, but not limited to, large-page documents.
  • Escalate and follow up on any documentation that is insufficient or unclear.
  • Communicate with other clinical staff regarding documentation.
  • Search for information in cases the medical record is complex or unusual.
  • Have good command over Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and information security and have good understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Maintain consistent reliability ratings of 95%.

 

Minimum 20 hours/weekly(Seasonal). Part-Time Seasonal and Full-Time Seasonal positions available.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE CPC, CPC-H, COC, CPMA, CCS, LPN, LVN, OR RN LICENSE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Must have knowledge of Excel, word and internet, keyboard (basic computer skills)

• Previous HEDIS abstraction experience(Minimum 2 years)

• Full time and part time positions available

• Full time year round positions also available for RN/LPN/LVN with coding experience.

• Full time year round positions must complete pre-hire coding exercise.

 

Compensation:

$25.00 per hour
